RCA Victor proudly introduced Electric Tuning! — because apparently turning a knob by hand was becoming far too strenuous. For a brief, glorious moment, it was the future of radio convenience, impressing neighbors and confusing grandparents in equal measure. While RCA Victor is no longer in the radio business that made ads like this famous, these vintage promotions remain a charming reminder of a time when adding electricity to anything automatically made it exciting.
